1949 – Founding of ICA FOODS

It was among the first in Europe to start production of potato chips. Under the CRIK CROK Brand, the company gradually began to establish itself in Italy and abroad.

With Puff, the company launched the first cheese ball. A savory snack that is not fried but extruded in the oven with an explosive 4-cheese flavor.

Following the interest for the world of "hand-cooked-style" chips, CRIK CROK launched the first product that founded the artisanal method line, still to this day a gourmet line of premium quality.

Born in 2009, the Plus brand is a type of salty snack recreated from dehydrated potatoes, cornmeal, and rice flour. Today, the Plus line, with its colorful tubes and countless flavors, is the company's flagship product and is now synonymous with innovative, on-the-go and share-friendly snacking.

In this year as many as five products from CRIK CROK were voted "Best Product of the Year," including:
- ONDA EXTREME BBQ (now ONDULATE BBQ)
- STILE FATTE A MANO 100% EVO OIL (progenitor of our premium line)

Towards the end of this year, CRIK CROK changed ownership and began a new journey with energy and vitality, under the leadership of Roman entrepreneur Francesca Ossani.

After a year of restyling and reorganization of brand architecture, a wave of freshness comes to the market in mid-2019. All the products were involved in a total redesign project, with some of them not changing their appearance since the 1990s. All products were brought back under the parent brand CRIK CROK and several new products were launched.

CRIK CROK has improved and aligned its products to market quality standards. It redesigned its brand and highlighted on its new packaging the qualitatively significant elements on which its improvement was based.

Gambero Rosso’s guide to gastronomic excellence has awarded STILE FATTE A MANO, following a thorough scouting of the Italian food supply chain.
